Why we started this

Septic has a reputation problem, and it is largely earned. Too many homeowners have been told they need a new drain field when they needed a pump-out, given a price on the phone that doubled on the invoice, or waited three days for a callback while sewage sat in the yard.

Number Two Crew exists because that is a low bar to clear. We diagnose before we dig, we put the price in writing before we start, and we answer the phone.

What we will tell you that others might not

• When your system does not need replacing — even though replacing it would pay us far more
• When a problem can safely wait, so you can plan around payday
• What additives actually do (very little) before you spend money on them
• What we found in the tank, with photographs, whether you asked or not

Local means something specific here

We work three counties — Pittsylvania, Halifax and Henry — and we work them properly rather than spreading thin across half the state. That is not modesty, it is how you get good: the soil in Danville is not the soil in Martinsville, and knowing the difference before you quote a drain field is the whole job.

It also means we are half an hour away rather than half a day, which is the entire difference between an emergency handled today and one handled Thursday.

Being new, honestly

We are a new company. We are not going to pretend to a decades-long history or invent a wall of reviews we have not earned yet. What we can tell you is that the work is done properly, it is warrantied, and being new means every single job matters to us more than it would to somebody with a full schedule and nothing to prove.

Ask us for our license and insurance and we will send it to you the same day. Anybody who will not do that is telling you something.
